What counts as an “action”?
An action is one transformation of the text you selected (e.g., one Translation or one Tone Refinement). To keep performance predictable, actions may have a maximum text length limit.

Can I switch plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or switch between BYOK and Pro at any time from your account settings.
Is BYOK secure?
Absolutely. Your API key is stored locally on your device (in your browser). TapTone does not store BYOK keys in our database.
Do you store my messages?
By default, no. TapTone does not log the content of the text you process. We may collect minimal non-content data (like error rates) to keep the service reliable.
Why is Pro more expensive?
The Pro plan includes the cost of AI usage and server infrastructure, so you don’t need to manage your own provider keys or worry about separate billing.
